MetaZoo Seance: First Edition is the fifth core set in MetaZoo’s Cryptid Nation trading card game, released in 2022. Its 165-card numbered set draws heavily from ghosts, séances, spiritualism, haunted locations, occult objects, and supernatural folklore, with Spirit-themed cards especially prominent throughout the release.
The numbered set is divided into 40 Gold, 39 Silver, 62 Bronze, and 24 Terra cards, alongside 17 token cards. One of Seance’s defining collector features is the Hateful Eight: Walking Sam, Sheepsquatch, Lady Luck, Cursed Contract, Satanic Panic!, Embedding the Soul, Chains of Old Scratch, and Possessed Aura. In First Edition, those eight cards were printed only as Full Holos.
Seance also received later alternate releases, including eBay Edition and Big Box Edition, creating additional variants beyond the standard First Edition printing structure.
The Hateful Eight: these cards are Full Holo-only in Seance First Edition, with no Reverse Holo or Non-Holo printing.
